1. Futures trading can cause substantial losses
Futures trading involves leverage and substantial risk. You can lose your entire investment and may owe more than your initial deposit. Price gaps, volatility, limited liquidity and market closures can prevent an intended execution or increase a loss. Trading and evaluation fees can create additional costs.
Copying a trade does not make it safe or profitable. Copying across multiple accounts can multiply losses and create different exposure in each account. Assess your own circumstances and read the risk disclosures and agreements supplied by your broker and account provider.
2. Information, illustrations and beta status
This website provides general product information, not personalized investment advice or a recommendation to trade. Its fictional account illustration is not a trading result, live account record or forecast. Local simulator checks are engineering evidence for the stated builds and scenarios, not proof of live performance, profitability or provider compatibility.
Pending NinjaTrader approval. CanaCopy remains a development beta. Provider and mixed-provider execution qualification is pending. Bugs, unsupported order structures and differences between platform or provider versions can produce unexpected behavior. No identical-fill, uninterrupted-copying or loss-prevention guarantee is made. Review current availability and compatibility and limitations for the exact scope.
3. Follower results can differ
Leader and follower orders are separate. Delays, slippage, partial fills, rejected orders, margin requirements and account restrictions can cause different prices, quantities or positions. A successful leader trade does not establish a successful follower trade. Fees and commissions can also differ.
Whole-number sizing can magnify exposure. Contract count caps are not verified dollar-loss, drawdown or margin safeguards. Confirm the exact contract and expiry, selected accounts, mode, quantities and limits before arming. Do not assume that a similar symbol or account name means the same instrument or the intended account.
4. Protection depends on the copy mode
Order mirror: supported entries and supported single-bracket changes can be mirrored, but follower protection may be delayed, rejected or lost. A stop order does not guarantee its execution price, and a stop-limit order may not fill. An OCO relationship is not proof that both orders cannot execute or that protection survives a disconnection. Verify actual acknowledged orders in NinjaTrader.
Fill copy: follower market orders follow eligible leader executions. The mode creates no resting follower stop or target. A leader exit reaches a follower only after its execution reaches the copier and the follower order is processed. A fault, disconnection or stopped copier can leave follower exposure open.
Unsupported structures and actions can break copying assumptions. Consult the current supported trade shapes, and do not run competing manual trades, strategies or another copier on selected followers during a session.
5. Stop is not Flatten
Stop ends copying and further leader or trailing updates; it does not close positions. Order mirror leaves established protective exits for open exposure in place where possible. A stopped or faulted session does not keep copying later leader exits.
Separately confirmed follower Flatten requests cancellation and closure for the selected contract on followers, including manual orders within that scope. It does not flatten the leader. A request can be delayed, rejected or incompletely filled; pressing a control is not proof of a flat account. Inspect actual Orders, Executions and Positions and use the platform or provider’s controls as needed to manage remaining exposure.
6. Local operation and recovery
CanaCopy depends on your running Windows computer, NinjaTrader instance and connections. Sleep, power loss, platform shutdown, software failure or network loss can interrupt copying. Existing orders and protection may depend on local software or the provider; neither continued protection nor automatic cancellation should be assumed.
Connection loss or uncertain order outcomes halt copying. Reconnection does not automatically rearm, replay trades or restore copying. Reconcile every affected account before starting again, and verify completion of any corrective action. Review the setup and recovery workflow for the exact beta package.
7. Account permission and evaluation rules
Platform access and technical connectivity do not grant permission to copy an account. You must confirm the account owner’s authorization and the applicable broker, provider and trading-firm rules. Restrictions can affect copying, automation, evaluation status and payout eligibility. A CanaCopy acknowledgment does not grant those permissions or guarantee a payout.
A “Sim” name or Simulation label can identify a paid evaluation account. Begin any authorized beta demonstration with dedicated, verified local simulator accounts, as described in the getting-started guide. Local tests do not authorize use on a live, evaluation or funded account.
